Everything You Need to Know, All in One Place
Your Bootcamp Questions, Answered
We believe transparency builds trust. Here you’ll find clear, honest answers to the most common questions about our programmes, process, and expectations.
Is Everybody Bootcamp suitable for people over 40?
Yes. A large part of our community is made up of people in their 40s, 50s and beyond. The
sessions are designed to help everyday people lose weight, improve their fitness and feel
stronger without needing to train like an athlete.
Is Everybody Bootcamp suitable for both men and women?
Yes. Everybody Bootcamp is for men and women, and we have a friendly, supportive community
with people from a wide range of backgrounds and fitness levels.
What happens during an Everybody Bootcamp Session?
Our sessions are 45 minutes long and are designed to give you a full-body workout without making
exercise unnecessarily complicated. Sessions can include cardio, strength, boxing, circuits, and bodyweight exercises, with coaches providing modifications for different fitness levels.
Do I need any equipment?
No equipment is needed during our six-week starting programme. Everything you need for the sessions is provided, making it easy to get started without having to buy your own equipment. Some people choose to bring an exercise mat, particularly for floor-based exercises, but this is not compulsory. After the initial programme, some sessions may incorporate additional equipment as you progress.
How often should I attend Everybody Bootcamp?
We recommend attending regularly and making exercise part of your weekly routine. The more consistently you train, alongside following the nutrition and lifestyle guidance, the better your opportunity to achieve lasting results.
Will Everybody Bootcamp help me lose weight?
Yes. Weight loss is one of the main reasons people join us. Our Transformation Programme combines exercise, nutrition guidance, accountability and coach support to help you make sustainable changes rather than simply exercising for six weeks and returning to your old habits.
How much weight can I expect to lose?
Everyone is different, so we don’t promise a specific amount of weight loss. A typical weight loss can be around 10–20 pounds (approximately 5–10kg) during the six-week programme, although results depend on factors including your starting point, nutrition, consistency and how closely you follow the programme. More than 1,150 people have completed our Transformation Programme, with many achieving significant changes in their weight, fitness and confidence.
Do you provide nutritional guidance?
Yes. Nutrition is an important part of our Transformation Programme. You’ll receive guidance on what to eat and support from your coaches so that your nutrition works alongside your training and helps you move towards your goals.
Is Everybody Bootcamp just exercise, or do I get support as well?
It’s much more than exercise. Alongside the training, our programmes include nutrition guidance, accountability and coach support. We believe that having people around you who know your goals and keep you accountable is a major part of getting results.
What if I'm overweight or have a lot of weight to lose?
You’re exactly the type of person we help. You don’t need to be slim or fit to feel comfortable at Everybody Bootcamp. Our aim is to create an environment where you can start at your current level, make progress, and become fitter and healthier along the way.
Is Everybody Bootcamp a military-style bootcamp?
No. Despite the name, we’re not about shouting at people or putting you through punishment-style workouts. Everybody Bootcamp is designed for normal, busy people who want to lose weight, improve their fitness and enjoy exercising in a friendly environment.
Where does Everybody Bootcamp operate?
Everybody Bootcamp is based in the Barkingside area, with members attending from across Redbridge and Havering. Our sessions take place at local venues and are designed to be convenient for people living in the surrounding communities.
What if I can't keep up with everyone else?
You don’t have to. Everybody Bootcamp has people at different fitness levels, and our coaches provide easier and harder versions of exercises where appropriate. The aim is for you to challenge yourself at your own level rather than compete against everyone else.
What makes Everybody Bootcamp different from other fitness classes?
The combination of results, community and accountability. We’ve been running Everybody
Bootcamp for more than 11 years and have helped more than 1,150 people complete our Transformation Programme. Our members don’t just turn up for a workout—they become part of a community with coaches and other members supporting them throughout their journey.
Is Everybody Bootcamp suitable if I'm busy with work and family?
Yes. Our 45-minute sessions are designed with busy adults in mind, including working mums and dads. You don’t need to spend hours exercising to make progress; consistency and making training fit realistically into your life are what matter.
What happens after the Transformation Programme?
The Transformation Programme is designed to help you establish habits that can continue beyond the initial programme. Many people choose to continue training with Everybody Bootcamp afterwards so they can maintain their fitness, continue working towards their goals and remain part of the community.
Does Everybody Bootcamp actually get results?
Yes. Results are at the heart of what we do. More than 1,150 people have completed our Transformation Programme, and Everybody Bootcamp has also been recognised with awards including Transformation Bootcamp of the Year 2024 and finalist for Outdoor Facility of the Year at the National Fitness Awards. We have also been nominated for the Redbridge Health and Wellbeing Champion Award at the 2026 Ilford and Redbridge Awards, taking place in December
Is Everybody Bootcamp a good option if I don't like gyms?
Yes. You don’t need to enjoy gyms to enjoy Everybody Bootcamp. Our sessions are coach-led and community-focused, so you don’t have to train on your own or worry about what exercises to do.
Will I enjoy Everybody Bootcamp?
That’s the aim. We believe exercise works better when you actually want to come back. Our focus is on creating energetic, friendly sessions where people can work hard, have fun, meet other people, and feel part of something.
What should I wear and bring to my first session?
Wear comfortable clothing and suitable trainers that you can move freely in. Bring a bottle of water and, if you have one, an exercise mat for floor-based exercises, although a mat is not compulsory.
What's the difference between your programmes?
Our six-week Transformation Programme is designed to help you make a strong start with exercise, nutrition, accountability and coach support, while our ongoing membership allows you to continue training and progressing with the Everybody Bootcamp community after the initial programme.
Where is the best place to park when visiting Everybody Bootcamp?
Parking arrangements vary slightly between our venues, so we’ll provide the relevant parking information when you join and let you know where to park for your session.
What certifications and qualifications do your trainers hold?
All of our sessions are personal-trainer-led. The sessions are devised by Russ, the owner of Everybody Bootcamp and a qualified personal trainer, and delivered by our trained coaching team.
Does Everybody Bootcamp offer showers, lockers or towel service?
We’re not a traditional gym, so we don’t offer showers, lockers or towel service. We do have toilet and changing facilities at our studio venue, while our outdoor venue does not have these facilities.
Are your sessions indoors or outdoors?
Where possible, we try to hold our weekday sessions outdoors because our members love training outside. When the weather is inclement, we often move indoors, particularly during the winter months. Our weekend sessions are all outdoors, come rain or shine, and our members tell us these are some of the most fun sessions of the week.
What is your cancellation policy for scheduled sessions?
If you need to cancel a booked session, please do so as early as possible through the booking system so that your place can be made available to another member. Our cancellation policy may vary depending on the programme or membership you are on, so we’ll make the relevant terms clear when you join.
